Love Is Me & You–MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge, #264

MFTWSC264_2016jan22

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

Again trying to think outside the box, I chose to use Love Die-namics for the horizontal element. I started with a Sweet Tooth card base and the top layer is also Sweet Tooth card stock with a sentiment from Love You More stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with silver detail embossing powder. Sandwiched in between is some Ranger Watercolor paper on which I stamped Mini Hearts Background with Versmark then heat embossed with white detail embossing powder.

I did a watercolor wash with Peerless Watercolors and popped the top layer up on foam mounting tape. The circle element was done with two Stitched Heart STAX Die-namics, one with Razzle Berry card stock and one with Wild Cherry card stock, both popped up on foam. I added an arrow to them, cut from Silver Sparkle card stock with Tag Builder Blueprints 5 Die-namics and finished off with some enamel dots and clear gems.

And that’s it for this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you soon!

  2. Hi Barbara,
I'd say that you really thought "out of the box!" Looking at the sketch, I thought to myself that it looked really boring. What can one do with a long rectangle and a little circle? You however, turned it into a vibrant, fun card! Well done!
