Hello–CTD #410

CTD410_2016sep14

Hello there! It’s time for a new Color Throwdown Challenge! Wanda has chosen a soft romantic palette based on her gorgeous inspiration piece.

I decided to see what else I could do with Split Chevron Cover-Up Die-namics using these colors. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, added strips of Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots Paper Pack on either side, and then another panel of Sweet Tooth card stock, popped up on foam mounting tape on the base and worked on that. I cut Peach Bellini card stock, Sno Cone card stock, and Cement Gray card stock and popped them up randomly within the framework of Split Chevron Cover-Up Die-namics.

I added a bundle of copper thread and Thanks & Hello Die-namics, cut from Sweet Tooth card stock and a bunch of enamel dots in the challenge colors.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD4010 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd410 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented September Guest Designer, Karren Johnson!

  1. You are doing such amazing things with that chevron die - I'm so glad I bought it when it was released - now to find time to actually use it! This card is just gorgeous and what a fabulous way to use the challenge colors.

  2. Those chevrons make such a unique background and I'm lovin' that touch of copper thread! Beautiful!
