Welcome back to Day Three of MFT’s Release Countdown! Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for the list of designers with samples for you today, plus a way to win some free stuff :)

Countdown3

Today’s project is a mini album calendar made with a lot of MFT products but featuring several things being released this month:
LLD Journal It – Pocket Calendar, MPD Damask Designs, MPD Damask Designs stencil, Negative Dot Number Die-namics, and LLD Accent It – Months of the Year Die-namics. I was already planning on doing a new calendar before the New Year but when I got these products I knew I couldn’t wait! This post is kinda long, but I wanted to show you all of the pages and elements, so grab a cup of your favorite, sit back, and enjoy.

I’m using a heavy chipboard calendar for this project. For the front, I started by covering it with some Sno Cone card stock. It, and all of the edges on the subsequent pages were distressed with both a sanding block and Kraft ink. Then I applied some molding paste using the new MPD Damask Designs stencil. While it was drying I made my flowers and other details. I cut four small Jumbo Banner Day STAX Die-namics from Black Licorice card stock and added some Negative Dot Numbers Die-namics to them before hanging them all from two strands of hemp cord. I popped them up on foam, then added a Large Leaf-Filled Flourish Die-namics cut from Olive card stock. Other embellishments were made with the Eiffel Tower Die-namics, Designer Labels 3 STAX Die-namics, Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose Die-namics, Mini Royal Roses Die-namics, and Royal Leaves Die-namics using Sno Cone card stock, Kraft card stock, Sweet Tooth card stock, and more Olive card stock. The sentiment is from LLD Document It – Expand Your View and is a combination of two of the sentiments stamped on a First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics flag cut from Sweet Tooth card stock with Black Licorice ink.

OK, let’s move on to the inside. Inside the cover I adhered a piece of Kraft card stock that was stamped with an image from MPD Damask Designs in Black Licorice ink. Then I added a piece of Sweet Tooth card stock cut with LLD Insert It – 3 x 4 Notebook Paper Die-namics and stamped with the lines from LLD Journal It – For the Record with Black Licorice ink. The sentiment at the top is from LLD Journal It – Take Note stamped with Black Licorice ink on Sno Cone card stock and cut with a die from LLD Accent It – Labels and Tabs Die-namics.

The calendar for January was made with LLD Insert It – 3 x 4 Insert Die-namics, cut from Sweet Tooth card stock. The grid, from LLD Journal It – Calendar Basics was stamped with Black Licorice ink and the numbers, from the same set, were stamped with Berrylicious ink. I then cut the month from Black Licorice card stock using LLD Accent It – Months of the Year and adhered it to the top of the calendar. I stamped “JAN”, from the also soon-to-be-released LLD Document It – Pocket Calendar on the tab with Black Licorice ink. And finally, I stamped the January flower from Inspired by Flowers Set #1 with Black Licorice ink.
