Warmest Wishes–CTD #380

CTD380_2016feb17

Hello, and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! Vickie is our hostess this week and she has some cool colors for us, based on a warm and cozy inspiration piece.

I decided to continue the Winter theme for my card. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Next I spread molding paste through Snowfall Stencil on Stone Gray card stock and popped it up on foam mounting tape on the base. Then I cut Snow Drifts Die-namics from Sweet Tooth card stock, popped it up on foam, and cut the tree from Spooky Scene Die-namics from Gravel Gray card stock and adhered it. Next I cut Frightful Fence Die-namics from Black Licorice card stock and popped it up on foam.

Then I cut and stamped the cardinals from PI Season’s Tweetings and PI Season’s Tweetings Die-namics using Black Licorice hybrid ink colored them with Copic markers and added them to the scene. Finally, I stamped the sentiment from BB Warmest Wishes with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, then popped it up, as well. To finish off, I sponged on some Sweet Tooth pigment ink to simulate snow.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the
Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD380 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd380 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented February Guest Designer, Kay Miller!
